AnyDesk has the fastest software: Winner in the competitive comparison

In tests by two independent IT consulting service providers, AnyDesk is number one out of a total of twelve tested remote desktop solutions.

Stuttgart, 22nd Oktober 2020 – AnyDesk Software, one of the leading companies for remote desktop solutions, has the fastest software. That was the result of two benchmark tests by independent IT consulting firms. In September 2020, a total of twelve software solutions with remote desktop functionality were tested and compared in the categories of frame rate, latency, bandwidth and frame size. In the tests, AnyDesk showed the highest frame rate and lowest latency of all competitors, while at the same time using significantly less bandwidth than the competition average. The tests were carried out by ScienceSoft and PassMark Software on behalf of AnyDesk.

High scores in all categories

AnyDesk’s powerful remote desktop software for private users and companies enables PC, smartphone or tablet users to quickly access other end devices remotely. The software occupies the top places in all four test categories and emerged as the winner of the tests with 45 or 40 out of a maximum of 48 points to be achieved. In a comparison of competitors by PassMark, AnyDesk is the undisputed leader with a full five points behind the runner-up. The software does particularly well in terms of frame rate and latency. There is only a little room for improvement in terms of bandwidth and frame size.

Fast, reliable and safe

The Stuttgart-based company’s geographical expansion to strengthen AnyDesk’s position in certain key markets is also progressing rapidly. The new North American headquarters in Clearwater, Florida opened this year. Additionally, AnyDesk will start operating a subsidiary in Asia in early 2021.

Both benchmark tests confirm: AnyDesk with its high frame rates ensures a fluid image structure. With refresh rates of 60 frames per second in the LAN, only four of the competitors can keep up. AnyDesk has been optimized for a latency of less than 16 milliseconds in the LAN in order to guarantee an almost immediate response time when working on a remote device – with a delay that is imperceptible for the eye to see. The software achieves its low latency with its specially developed DeskRT video codec. It enables smooth remote working even in regions with low bandwidths of 100 kB / s. The tests also show that with 1.2 MB, AnyDesk hardly uses any bandwidth for screen transfer – a decisive prerequisite (huge factor?) for smooth work.

But AnyDesk is not only fast, it is also secure: The transmission is secured with TLS 1.2 technology, which is standard in online banking, for example. In addition, all sessions support Perfect Forward Secrecy and can be additionally secured using Two-Factor Authentication. The latest Version 6, thanks to the support of Windows group guidelines and secondary passwords, enables central IT management for the first time and facilitates teamwork with the Wake-On-LAN function. In addition, it can be downloaded quickly with just 3.7 MB for Windows devices and is immediately ready for use without installation.
